SANCHEZ APPRECIATES XAVI

Former Barcelona ace Xavi Hernandez made a prediction that Qatar would be the winners of the Asian Cup, much to the delight of the country’s national team head coach following their triumph.

Xavi rightly predicted that the 2022 FIFA World Cup hosts will come home with the trophy and he got his prediction spot on.

The country’s national team manager Felix Sanchez was very happy about the successful prediction of the former Barcelona man and sent his thanks to the player.

Sanchez also jokingly revealed that he wants Xavi to continue to predict every of his team’s games after the maestro successfully foretold their Asian Cup title triumph.

Qatar won their first ever major trophy as a footballing nation last week Friday when they defeated Japan in a thrilling encounter in the final. They won the game by a convincing 3-1 margin.

The likes of Almoez Ali, AbdelazizHatim and Akram Hassan Afif got the goals for the Asian champions to put smiles on the faces of all Qatari fans all over the world. It is a day that will never be forgotten in the nation’s history.

The three footballers have definitely engraved their names in the country’s history books for their goals in the cup final.

Xavi rightly predicted right from the start of the tournament that Felix Sanchez’s men will bring home the highly coveted trophy and the manager insists the Spaniard can become their goodluck charm.

Speaking after the match, the former Barca youth coach revealed he was going to give Xavi a call, telling him to predict all of their upcoming games just so that he will know what to expect in the future.

Sanchez also spoke highly of Xavi himself, calling him a ‘great person’ and also thanking him for the support he has always had for the country since moving from Barcelona to Qatari league outfit Al Sadd.
